While doing research at the Wellington archives in Chichester, Vicky and I were able to steal a day at Arundel Castle. We began our visit in the gardens and, really, no further words are necessary.

My favjorite part was the Victorian Stumpery!! Like the one we saw on Open Gardens Weekend in London. 1) cut dow the tree and haull of the logs. 2) turn the sump upside down 3) plant it as though it was a flower pot.
